Helicopters and sandwiches

Sao Paulo has one of the highest per capital ownerships of helicopters in the world. It is quite cool seeing them flying about, and makes a nice change from the constant planes that come with living on a flight path hehe

Last weekend we ventured downtown again to see a few more sights. We began at the central station that has been modeled on Big Ben...not quite got the beauty of it but you can see similarities.
Luz station

We then headed over to the Municipal Market as I have been rather obsessed with seeing their sandwiches as they sounded epic....they didn't disappoint! I wimped out of eating one of the house specials though, but was very happy to take pics!
So many goodies!

Paul and Luke rather impressively fit them in their mouths!

Best lunch ever! I had a small chicken one....

Love the fruits here
On our walking tour last week we heard about a few tall buildings with good viewing platforms. We naively thought it would give us  more of a sense of direction and help our bearings of the city. Hmmm it just showed us how massive this place is and how we will never have our bearings!!!

We went up the Italian building, the third largest in the city. It was amazing. Helicopters flew all around it, and the pilots in the white one below actually waved at us! Insane! We decided to stay till after dusk and see the city all lit up. It is so impressive.
