Ohhh bolognaise! This was one of the first things we did on arrival!
Anneke and I went to Bologna to celebrate the start of half term. We got the fast train, and arrived within an hour which was amazing! Love Italian trains.
Bologna was so pretty. Lots of red rooftops, galleries to shield the sun or the rain, and amazing churches and buildings.
All of the Roman mythology was very interesting. We got to see the statue of Neptune, and lots of the buildings had carvings linked to various Roman gods. Anneke knew a lot about it all so was very helpful in pointing things out that I would have otherwise missed. I really need to teach in a year group that has Greek and Roman mythology as a topic, as I am so clueless!
We climbed the leaning tower....497 steps......and had beautiful views of the city. Hills in the background, cute houses and churches......so pretty. Same old italy though to be honest hehe
