I'd not been to any of the Italian lakes before, so was really looking forward to a day's hiking at lake Como. George Clooney has a villa there so I thought it can't be too shabby!
We took the funicular up party a hill then hiked up a great trail. The views over the town and lake were gorgeous. The air was so clean and it was wonderful to be out of the city.

We had a lovely picnic on top before coming down and then exploring the town. I was amazed! It's got medieval buildings and gorgeous old architecture.
We went for an ice cream then asked someone to take a photo of us.....the lady was Welsh and had just moved from Milan to Como. We worked out we had mutual friends and spent the evening with her. She gave us a lil tour of the town and took us to places we would have not found or realised their significance of without her. It was fantastic! Another happy day in Italy.
