Bogota was cold!! What a contrast! The boots and blazer were back on. No more sweaty waterfall face! It was a nice city. Not mind blowing, but it had some pretty streets and nice buildings. Some of the streets were akin to Cartagena, but it had a grittier feel and some cool graffiti.
An incredible surprise though was found in the Plaza de Bolivar.....llamas!!! Random!! I've been desperate to see a llama in South America!

Not exactly in the wild....but woohoo!!! |
I visited the gold museum which was really interesting. Some beautiful exhibits and great history to consolidate what I'd learnt about the indigenous people on the trek.
|
I've never seen so much gold before in one room! |
After the semi final (priorities!) I took the cable car up to Monserrate. The views over the city were fantastic, and the church itself was very pretty.

Bogota by night |
It was a lovely end to my time in Colombia. It is a beautiful country, the people are so warm and friendly, its landscapes are incredible; I am so glad I came.
